Workshop: Social Work Practice with people experiencing controlling and coercive behaviour

Audience The workshops are running as ‘train the trainer’ events so are aimed at people already in a role where they can influence others- including PSWs, supervisors, practice educators and or Workforce Development Leads. The workshops will provide participants with the tools they need to go back to their local area and provide learning and development to colleagues - formally or informally - to support social work practice with people experiencing, or at risk of, coercive and controlling behaviour. As these workshops are aimed at people who already train and/ or develop others, they will not cover core training skills. Ideally participants would already have some understanding of safeguarding adults, and coercive control.
